Reiki, pronounced "Ray -Key", comes from two Japanese words - Rei and Ki. Rei means universal. Ki is the life force that flows through all that is alive. Other cultures also refer to it as Chi, Prana, Mana. This life force is the non physical energy that animates all living things. When your life force is high and flowing freely, you are less likely to get sick. When it is restricted in some way, you are more vulnerable to illness.
Reiki is a Japanese technique that produces relaxation and stress reduction. In a normal session, the client remains fully clothed and rests on a massage table for the duration of the session. Sessions are usually 45 minutes to one hour. All of the practitoners at Mana Lomi Reiki and Massage are Reiki practitioners. A client may schedule a Reiki session only or enjoy what we call a "Half & Half" session (half massage and half Reiki) or, a Heaven on Earth (hour session with two therapists - one doing massage and the other Reiki - all at the same time). When participating in a Reiki session, the client must make a committment to be fully present and responsible for their highest healing.

The kanji is the symbol for Reiki. It has been created as a piece of art by a local artist, Loretta Menendian. Each piece is personally signed by the artist. The tiles are all different and are approximately 5"x5". They may be displayed as a magnet or on a display rack as a piece of art. Each piece is available for $15.00, plus tax, shipping and handling. REIKI I & II CLASS - $350.00
This is a two day intensive workshop which results in Certification as a Reiki I and II Practitioner through the International Center for Reiki Training. In this class you will learn:
+ The history of Reiki + What Reiki is and how it heals
+ The human energy system + Reiki treatment techniques
+ How to use Reiki for personal healing and to assist others
+ How to do a complete Reiki treatment on self and others
+ Beaming + Scanning
+ The second degree Reiki Symbols and how to use them
+ How to use Reiki for absentee healing.
Continuing education credits are available for Licensed Massage Therapists (14.5), Registered Nurses(14.5), and Occupational Therapists (14.5).
ADVANCED REIKI CLASS - $225.00
Pre-requisite for this class is practicing and using the Reiki energy from Level i & II for a minumum of six months. Advanced Reiki class is a one day class usually taught before the Master Class. One may choose to take this class only.
This class will teach the Usui Master symbol which strengthens your Reiki energy.
The class also teaches the use of crystals and stones with Reiki and how to make a Reiki grid for
Reiki to be continually sent
Reiki aura clearing that assists in removing negative psychic energy from a person
Plus meditations to strengthen the mind and expand consciousness.
Continuing Education credits are available for Licensed Massage Therapists (7.5), Registered Nurses (6.25) , and Occupational Therapists (7.5).
REIKI MASTER CLASS - $650.00
Pre-requisite for this class is Advanced Reiki. In this class students are taught:
- Two Tibetan symbols
- Healing attunemtnent, which heals and strengthens the Reiki treatments
- Advanced Reiki meditation which harmonizes the energy of the chakras
- Instruction on giving all attunements, including Reiki Master; complete Usui system and
Usui/Tibetan system used by International Center for Reiki Training
-Plus plenty of practice time.
Continuing Education credits are available for Licensed Massage Therapists (14.5), Registered Nurses (12), and Occupational Therapists (14.5)
KARUNA REIKI MASTER - $875.00
This class is a three-day intensive. Karuna Reiki is a registered trademark of and was developed by the International Center for Reiki Training. Upon completion of the class, you will be a full Karuna Reiki Master and able to give all the attunements.
The composition of this class includes: four level one symbols, four level two symbols and four master symbols; two attunements ; meditations for self healing and removing blocks; instruction and practice in giving and receiving Karuna Reiki treatments; instruction and practice in giving attunements for Karuna Reiki Practitioner and Master ;eve;s; chanting and toning with Karuna Reiki; plus lots of practice time.
Requirement to take this class is that one must have been a Reiki Master for at least one year prior to taking the Karuna Reiki Class.

During the many years of her Reiki practice, Sandy has worked with individuals with various stages of health (from excellent health to the other end of the spectrum of wellness). As a cancer survivor herself, Sandy has worked with cancer patients in various stages of their dis-ease. She is also interested and has worked with HIV/AIDS individuals. Reiki works with people to help them maintain (or restore themselves to) a more healthy physical, mental, and emotional state. Sandy regularily makes presentations to groups about Reiki and how it can be used in one's everyday lives for daily living and/or healing. Sandy teaches in the State of Florida as well as other southern states. Check her class schedule out.

CREATE YOUR OWN REIKI CLASS
Reiki Gathering is open to all Reiki practitioners of any lineage. We meet on the third Monday of each month from 6:30 - 8:30 PM to exchange Reiki with one another. The first part of the evening is educational in expanding knowledge of Reiki techniques. If you would like to come at 6:00, we have a "Meet n Greet" time to visit and catch up.
